Experience Navy Life!  Great For: Scouts, Youth Organizations, and Families

Activities: Tour of the ship, 4D ride, sleep in bunks, dinner & breakfast

Scouts, youth organizations and families can experience what life was like in the Navy – for at least one night – aboard the Battleship New Jersey’s Overnight program.

This award-winning program includes dinner and breakfast served from the Chowline, a ride in the 4D flight simulator, a guided tour of the Battleship, the chance to fire the ship’s saluting gun and, of course, the opportunity to sleep in the bunks that the sailors of the USS New Jersey once did.

The Battleship’s Overnight program is available most weekends during the school year.  Some special overnights includes the Girls Only Nights, when the Girls Scouts and Brownies take over the ship.  In addition to the usual overnight activities, there’s also a sing-along with the Romano Sisters, who do an “Andrews Sisters Show” in the evening and a presentation by a female in the military in the morning.

The Battleship also opens the Overnight program for families to spend the First Night of the Year aboard the Battleship.  Guests who spend New Year’s Eve overnight will enjoy the same activities as with all overnights, as well as get a great view of the New Year’s Fireworks from the decks of the Battleship.
