POND SKATING IN NJ

Skating the old fashioned way - outside on a frozen pond. There are quite a few parks that offer pond skating BUT make sure to call ahead to see if the pond is safe. NEVER skate on a pond that is not properly marked!

Skating is allowed after ice is at least 4 inches thick. If the pond isn’t available for skating, there are also trails to hike and a visitor center
