The Fall Time is a great season for outdoor activities, before winter begins. New Jersey is loaded with special NJ festivals and fairs that the entire family can enjoy. NJ Kids has collected these fabulous ideas below.   From Pumpkin and Apple Festivals to Fall Harvests and Garden Fests, your kids will be sure to find interactive and engaging things to do.

Bergen County Fair & Fall Harvest Festival Sept 27-29

Colts Neck Harvest Festival Sept 28-29
The fairgrounds encompass 30 acres which includes a lake, polo fields, ball fields and unlimited parking. It is surrounded by horse farms, pumpkin fields, apple orchards and upscale residential communities. Chester Lions Club Annual Oktoberfest Sept 28-29
The 15th Annual Oktoberfest is a full of family fun, with something for everyone! The Adler’s, a notable German Band will perform familiar German tunes and will be accompanied by spectacular dancers, bell ringers and water goblet musicians. Activities for children include Pony Rides, Rock Climbing Wall, Obstacle Course, Super Slide, Sand Art, Spin Art and more. Faeries and Wizards Family Festival Sept 28-29
Celebrate these magical creatures with games, crafts and more. Children will make their own wizard hat or fairy wings. Children also make fairy wands and their own fairy garden to take home. The Lord Stirling 1770s Festival Oct 6

Return to the past and experience daily colonial life and craft industry at the annual Lord Stirling 1770s Festival. Colonial craftspeople ply their trades while a Town Crier announces the local news. A Revolutionary War Military detachment camps on the former estate lawn of Lord Stirling and conducts maneuvers. Stroll the grounds of "The Buildings" and tour Lord Stirling's personal 1762 wine cellar. The Lord Stirling 1770s Festival also features displays of authentic artifacts discovered on site by our archeological field project. Children of all ages enjoy the hayrides, clay crafts, stenciling, tin piercing, and colonial games. Experience what life was like here in the fall of 1770 and learn about their local Revolutionary War hero, Lord Stirling. Snacks, lunch, and cold drinks are available. South Jersey Pumpkin Show
