7 Not Scary Halloween events for the entire family!  

October is packed with Halloween traditions from BOO events at the zoo, ghost storytelling, pumpkin festivals and all sorts of spooky events.  From toddlers to tweens, there is no shortage of Halloween activities all month long.  Head out dressed in your favorite costume to find tons of howl-o-ween fun for the entire family. 

JENKINSON’S BOO at the BOARDWALK  (Central Jersey)

Put on your best Halloween costume and join Jenkinson’s Boardwalk in Point Pleasant Beach, New Jersey for their annual Boo at the Boardwalk Halloween Festival on Saturday and Sunday Oct 18-19 and 25-26 from noon to 4 pm.

SAFE HOWL-O-WEEN AT TURTLE BACK ZOO  (North Jersey)

Themed entertainment, candy giveaways, and your favorite animals will be on hand to party. Oct 31, 4-9pm.

HALLOWEEN FUN AT INSECTROPOLIS  (Central Jersey)

Get in the Halloween spirit by having your face “bugified”! Fun, free face painting offered from 11-2 included with paid admission. Oct 31- Bugs and Boo: Wear your costume and get $2 off regular admission. You will also get a small goodie to add to your loot bag.

MUM MADNESS AND PUMPKIN PARADE FAMILY FESTIVAL   (South Jersey)
Camden’s Children Garden, 3 Riverside Drive
The garden’s salute to Autumn and their mascot Mum Bear with pumpkin crafts, a pumpkin story and pumpkin activities, all set in the blazing colors of the Garden’s beautiful chrysanthemums.  Oct 10 & 11, 1-4pm.

BOO AT THE ZOO   (New York)
Bronx Zoo 2300 Southern Boulevard, Bronx, New York
Time to break out your spookiest costume – Boo at the Zoo is back at the Bronx Zoo!  Every weekend in October they have activities lined up your family will love.  For the second year, they've created an incredible Jack O' Lantern illumination that puts the spotlight on the Mystery and Mischief of animals – literally! Stop by Dancing Crane Plaza and watch expert sculptures transform a giant pumpkin into gorillas, or don your favorite costume and join in our parade through the zoo.  With twists and turns through the hay maze, creepy crafts and tasty treats, there's plenty of Halloween action at the Bronx Zoo this fall. Goblins in the Garden Family Festival  (South Jersey)

Oct 24 & 25 & 31; 1- 4 pm Come in costume and have howling good time! Take a Haunted Train Ride, encounter characters throughout the garden, and meet the bumbling burglars! Trick or Treat during their Costume Parade! The Costume Parade will take place on the Main Plaza at 2pm.
