This July 2018, Fairleigh Dickinson University is offering two Mini Law Schools designed specifically for high school students.

The first Mini Law School will take place Monday July 16th - Friday July 20th on FDU’s Metropolitan Campus (1000 River Road, Teaneck NJ), and the second will take place Monday July 23rd – Friday July 27th at FDU’s Florham Campus (285 Madison Avenue, Madison, NJ).  Both summer programs cost $399 for the week (lunch is included in the price) and will run daily from 10:00am-2:00pm.

Each Mini Law School will feature simulations, discussions, and interactive presentations. These sessions will give students in grades 9-12 (and students who have just graduated from high school) a taste of both the first year law school curriculum and the skills and knowledge they need to successfully compete in mock trial programs at the collegiate level.

The 2018 Mini Law School builds on a successful Mini Law School program offered last summer, in which students from area high schools learned about law and legal problems while serving as attorneys and witnesses in a hypothetical civil trial.   As one parent explained, "My daughter loved every minute of it and couldn't believe how much she learned in one day."  According to another Summer 2017 participant, “the Mini Law School was a memorable learning experience for me and I enjoyed the program very much!”
