A Sip of Art – an upscale paint and sip art studio with a philanthropic twist – recently celebrated the grand opening of its new studio located in the popular Whole Foods Plaza at 235 Prospect Avenue in West Orange, NJ.
In addition to paint and sip classes, the bright and beautifully decorated studio offers a variety of art classes for adults and children, as well as private parties, corporate events and fundraisers.
“A Sip of Art is excited to open our doors to the community”, said Efe Cierkowski, the studio’s owner. “We look forward to providing a fun and relaxing space where our customers of all ages can come have fun and express their creativity”
“It is a business with a twist,” says Efe of A Sip of Art. “At A Sip of Art, our community can come together and be guided step-by-step through painting their “masterpieces,” while enjoying great music and company and, at the same time, help a charity.
Every class or party here represents an opportunity to give back to the community. A percentage of monthly profits from public classes is donated to the St. Barnabas Neonatal Intensive Care Unit (NICU) and a portion of proceeds from all private events goes towards a rolling list of charitable organizations, including local school PTAs.
“The idea is so simple really,” continues Efe. “My favorite quote is the one that goes, ‘To whom much is given, much is required.’ I truly believe in that idea so it naturally followed that with A Sip of Art we take some of our revenue to give back to worthy causes locally and nationally. A Sip of Art is a business with a social consciousness.”
A Sip of Art is currently taking enrollments for their 2016 Summer Camp program that will run in July and August. The camp will offer kids the opportunity to explore a variety of art styles and media in a fun and creative environment. Participants will cultivate a love for and develop their skills in painting, drawing, sculpture, mixed media and more.
