If you and your family take a vacation each year, you could be saving a lot of money with a resale timeshare. A timeshare is a vacation ownership product that provides you and your family with more spacious accommodations in luxurious resorts around the world. A timeshare resale is similar to a retail timeshare, but instead of being sold by a resort developer such as Marriott, Hilton, Disney etc. it is sold by an existing timeshare owner, usually at a heavily discounted price.

All timeshares are different, but most come equipped with private bedrooms and a kitchen. Families tend to get great use out of the kitchen when trying to save on dining out costs and parents love the private bedroom for the added privacy.

Timeshares In New Jersey

Although a majority of timeshares are in popular vacation destinations such as Orlando, Branson, Las Vegas etc., there are several in Atlantic City, New Jersey as well. Here are a few of our favorites:

FantaSea Flagship Resort

60 North Maine Avenue, Atlantic City

This family-friendly resort offers excellent views of the boardwalk and pier. It’s a few blocks off the strip, which gives it some calmness away from the crowds. Studios, 1- and 2-bedroom suites are available and all rooms come with a kitchenette, dining area and private balcony. Guests get free parking at this resort, which is a nice perk.

Wyndham Skyline Tower

110 S. North Carolina Ave., Atlantic City

The Wyndham Skyline Tower is just one block from the boardwalk and within walking distance to top attractions and activities in Atlantic City. Guests love the nearby casinos, indoor / outdoor pool and on-site game room and movie theater. 1- and 2-bedroom suites are available and, like most timeshares, all suites have a spacious living room, washer / dryer and fully equipped kitchen.

Brigantine Beach Club

4500 W. Brigantine Avenue, Brigantine

The Brigantine Beach Club is located right on the beach about 10 minutes away from the boardwalk. Guests choose this resort to escape the crowds and have a more beach-like experience. All rooms are 2-bedroom and some directly face the ocean. This is a good choice for those looking to be off the boardwalk away from the craziness.

Keep in mind that if you decide to buy timeshare in New Jersey, you can exchange it later for a different resort somewhere else using exchange services like RCI and Interval International. These services allow you to stay in someone else’s timeshare while a different group will get to use your timeshare. You’ll still own the timeshare in New Jersey, but you’ll get to experience a totally new vacation destination.

Overall, timeshare resales can provide families with discounted vacations, but only if the product is fully understood before being purchased. A timeshare rental on the resale market is a good way to test the waters before committing to anything. Give it a try and see if it’s right for your family.
