FDU Camp Discovery A Summer Of Friendship, Exploration & Fun!

Posted by: NJ Kids Contributors - May 18, 2017

Camp Discovery at Fairleigh Dickinson University is a traditional day camp with emphasis on enriching activities and field trips. The camp is offered in both Teaneck and Madison. The camp is open to children entering 1st through 7th grades. Activities include Science, Dance/Music, Sports, Arts-n-Crafts, World Discovery, Games, and Fun Field Trips. We have been offering a wonderful camp experience to Bergen County residents for over 21 years.

Our staff to camper ratio is 5:1. Activities are designed and led by certified teachers. Our counselors are primarily college students and young teachers who have lots of experience with children. We have a warm atmosphere and focus on helping children make friends and build self esteem.

Our camp appeals to kids with many different interests. They play sports, launch rockets, dance, race homemade cars, make crafts and artwork.

Our Leader in Training program for 8th and 9th grade campers offers leadership opportunities, workshops, and fun/educational field trips.

Weekly field trips for the 2017 season include the Keansburg Amusement Park, Madame Tussauds, the movies, Bronx Zoo, Powerhouse Studios and Charlie and the Chocolate Factory on Broadway. Our trips are very well organized and safe.

Camp Discovery runs from June 26 – August 4, 2017 in three two week sessions. Registration is on a first come – first served basis. Register soon! For more information please call 201-692-6500 or visit our website at www.fdu.edu/campdiscovery.
