IT WAS ALWAYS Anzhela Krimer’s dream to create a warm, nurturing and safe environment where children can thrive. Her dream became a reality when she opened Prodigy Academie Child Learning Center, located off Route 17 inside Lincoln Plaza Mall, two years ago.
Anzhela has an extensive teaching background, with degrees in education, speech, supervision and administration. She was an assistant principal for 15 years, and has worked as both a teacher and a speech therapist. After the birth of her daughter in 2008, she opened a preschool in Brooklyn. One preschool even-tually blossomed into four over seven years.
At Prodigy Academie, Anzhela has groomed a core staff of people who share an educational philosophy. Together, the Prodigy team has over 50 years of early childhood experience, and parents in the Ramsey area are taking notice. “Our first two years here have been amazing,” says Anzhela. “Prodigy has become the name in early learning here in Ramsey and neighbor-ing towns, which I am very proud to say. We have grown into all of our
What makes Prodigy different is that we cater to all children. We individualize our curriculum to meet the needs of the student. We assess, teach and reassess.” Prodigy Academie’s classrooms are structured in a way so that children are allowed to explore and learn in every area of development, specifically at their own pace. That puts children in a great position to excel when they enter kindergarten and beyond. “It’s a pleasure to see my kids graduate from Prodigy and then run into them when I do my pickups for aftercare from the Ramsey Public Schools,” says Anzhela. “I love hearing feedback from the schools, letting me know how well the children are doing, and how much what they learned here has helped them.”
