Welcome to THE R CHILD, your neighborhood’s STEAM Center!

With a flagship location in Fort Lee, NJ and a new Robotics and STEM camp location in Demarest, we’re on a mission to help parents uncover their kids’ passion for STEM by making learning an exciting adventure - one class at a time. 

Our center offers a variety of classes and activities for kids ages 0-16 years old. Our Montessor-based early learning studio is catered to babies and toddlers ages 0-4, while our Robotics Lab for kids ages 4+ learn fundamentals of coding, robotics, and more to prepare them for success in the future. 

At THE R CHILD, we combine science, technology, engineering, art and math with hands-on fun activities that kids just can’t get enough of! By introducing STEAM concepts at an early age, we help spark creativity, innovation, and confidence in every child that walks through our doors.

Our vibrant facilities are designed to be an innovation station, where our students are encouraged to dream big, build bold, and think like the tech leaders of tomorrow.

Montessori Classes for kids ages 0-4 (Fort Lee)

For our youngest explorers, we offer Montessori-inspired and hands-on classes designed to inspire curiosity and set the stage for lifelong learning:

• Baby Explorer (3-18 months): Early sensory play for your tiniest techies!

• Little Explorer Level 1: An occupational therapy-based mommy-and-me program that builds foundational skills.

• Little Explorer Level 2: Montessori-based pre-K prep for curious little minds.

• Lego Engineering: An exciting robotics prep program.

• Clay Exploration: A creative, hands-on workshop.

STEM Programs for kids ages 5-14

This is where innovation comes to life! Kids start by building their first robot and level up to competing in local and international robotics tournaments. Programs include:

• FIRST LEGO League and VEX IQ Robotics Competition Teams

• Coding: Dive into Scratch, Python, and Minecraft Modding.

Robotics Competitions

Our competition-level robotics teams compete in nationwide and international competitions, showcasing their technical proficiency and strategic thinking. These competitions are a perfect way to prepare students for tech high schools, add to their resumes, and build skills they can carry into their futures.
