“Unique and Inspiring” Acceptance & Inclusion School Assemblies

Tim Rohrer is a young adult with autism who is also an author, speaker, self-advocate and educator on disability inclusion. After being misunderstood and excluded socially in school, Tim has made it his mission to make the world a better place for students with disabilities. His passionate and heartfelt presentations make his assemblies unique, memorable and inspiring. Tim has a special ability to connect with students sharing his life experiences growing up with a disability. He shares his tips on communication, interaction and how to socially include peers with disabilities. He has hosted over 150 school assemblies throughout New Jersey.

Tim speaks from his heart and connects with students of all ages. He inspires children to build friendships with their peers with disabilities creating a more inclusive school community. The highlight of Tim’s assemblies is his engaging Q&A session where kids can ask him anything about his life with autism. They easily connect with him and learn valuable lessons that they talk about for months after with friends, families and teachers. Children of all ages absolutely LOVE Tim often asking for hugs, high five’s or a photo with him after he presents. He quickly becomes the school hero and he receives numerous cards from students after thanking him for visiting their school.

Tim began his career at the age of 18, when he wrote a pamphlet on how to treat people with disabilities that was published by the NJ Coalition for Inclusive Education. Shortly after, a story about Tim went viral in the media and began the creation of “ Tips4Inclusion”. Tim went on to create a website and create many unique resources about disabilities.

Tim has also presented at the NJEA teachers convention, Autism NJ conference, NJ School Boards Convention and many other major conferences. In addition to his acceptance and Inclusion assemblies, Tim also has presentations on anti-bullying and autism education. Visit his website to learn more about his amazing work and all the places he has been featured. Your school will absolutely love a heartfelt presentation provided by Tim Rohrer-Tips4Inclusion.

Testimonial - Our district was fortunate to have Tim present three assemblies (Pre k-2nd grade, grades 3-5 & 6-8th). His heart lead presentations helped our students understand the importance of inclusion giving his life experiences. He included various examples of why inclusion is important to students with challenges and provided the audience with examples of how to include students with disabilities. I was delighted to hear from our student’s parents, as students came home and talked about Tim’s presentation!

Age ranges - All ages up to grade 12, he has different presentations for different grade levels
