Summer of Song, Dance, Creativity, and Fun!

In each camp session, we will build musical productions incorporating singing, acting, improvisation, dance, and more, based on characters, music, shows, and themes the students enjoy. These are not standard pre-packaged musicals. Our camps are created by the kids and are built around their individual talents. Each child learns that their input is valuable, all skills are useable and being confident, open, and creative are key skills in both theatre and life. All that is required is eagerness, openness, and a sense of fun. What the students bring to the camp, we use. Most importantly, we laugh. A lot.

Each camp session is two weeks long, centered around a theme, and runs Monday through Friday from 10AM to 3PM with before and aftercare options available. Children ages 5-13 participate in all aspects of camp, including acting, singing, dancing, writing, games, crafts, and, of course, the final show itself on the last day. The weeks are very active, and we make lots of use of our outdoor space with extracurricular events such as Water Balloon Olympics, Games Day, Sports Day, Talent Show, and more.

The children begin their day with a high energy, large group warm-up and skill building activity before breaking into small group rotations with a dedicated counselor to facilitate and make sure the group is having the best time. Campers often work in groups of similar age children and experience level and the youngest have a slightly more leisurely process than older ones.There is always a chill-out craft table available for anyone who may need a little relaxation from the excitement. After an outdoor group lunch and recreation activity, campers come together in the afternoon to stage and rehearse their show. Finally, the day always ends on a high note with a whole group song, dance or game.
