We are committed to empowering each child reach his/her maximal potential in all areas of life. We strive to help our children become self-aware and self-confident individuals through individualized treatment planning. We collaborate with both the child and their parents on setting goals for therapy so that the concerns that are most adversely affecting the family are prioritized. Dr. Catherine Cavaliere received her doctorate from Seton Hall University in 2011. Her doctoral work involved investigating the physiologic components of sensory processing disorders (SPD) and the differences in the physiologic responses to sensation in children with autism and typically developing children. She continues to participate in research investigating the physiologic basis of sensory processing disorders as well as the relationship between the physiologic and behavioral components of SPD. She is a professor at Dominican College where she teaches research to occupational therapy students in the graduate program.
Throughout her career, Dr. Cavaliere has lectured extensively to various audiences including scholars, colleagues, teachers and parents, on sensory processing and related topics.
Dr. Cavaliere is passionate about bringing the knowledge that she has to the children and families that she works with.
