Hot Air Balloon Festivals & More in Warren County, New Jersey!

The original Hot Air Balloon Festival in Warren County, New Jersey, was held as a small gathering of pilots at the Warren County Farmers' Fair, in 2001. The Balloon Festival quickly became a welcomed addition to the County Fair. In 2020, when COVID prohibited the Fair from taking place, the core group of balloon festival organizers, along with long time sponsor, Warren Community College, held a smaller event at the College. In addition to a Balloon Festival, there were drone demos, to highlight the expansive drone program the College had been building. The event was so successful, it started some new balloon festival traditions in Warren County. Added to our "flying festivals" in 2023, was an all new event - Area 57 - rain or shine, that was held at the College on April 29. Check out some photos.

In fall of 2022 the Flying Festivals of Warren County non-profit was formed to continue developing various events focused on aviation, community and the College! Our newest event focuses on drones, robotics and technology, which is a major focus of the Warren Community College new and expanding Uncrewed Systems (drones and robots) program. Proceeds from our work benefits the following charities, as well as bringing recognition to the Uncrewed Systems program at Warren Community College, and economic support to the businesses in our part of Warren County, New Jersey.
